1. Definitions

The following terms shall have the meanings set out below:

  • Customer: The individual or entity booking our skip hire services.
  • Skip: The container provided by the Company for waste disposal.
  • Contract: This agreement between the Company and the Customer.

2. Booking and Payment

All bookings are subject to availability. To secure a booking, a deposit may be required as specified during the booking process.

Payment Terms:

  • Full payment is required before the delivery of the skip.
  • Payments can be made via credit/debit card, bank transfer, or other approved methods.
  • Failure to make payment on time may result in cancellation of the booking.

2.1 Pricing

Our pricing is competitive and varies based on skip size, rental duration, and additional services. All prices are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise.

3. Delivery and Collection

The Company will deliver the skip to the specified location within the agreed time frame. Customers must ensure that the delivery site is accessible and suitable for skip placement.

Responsibilities:

  • The Customer is responsible for providing a clear and level site for skip placement.
  • Any obstructions or unsuitable conditions must be reported prior to delivery.
  • The Company is not liable for any damages caused by incorrect site preparation.

4. Use of the Skip

The skip is to be used solely for the disposal of waste as specified in the booking. Any misuse may result in additional charges or termination of the contract.

Permitted Use:

  • Household waste
  • Garden waste
  • Construction and demolition debris

4.1 Loading the Skip

Customers must ensure that the waste is loaded safely and does not exceed the skip's weight limit. Overloading the skip can lead to additional fees and potential refusal of pickup.

5. Prohibited Items

The following items are strictly prohibited from being disposed of in the skip:

  • Chemical waste (paints, solvents, pesticides)
  • Electrical appliances containing hazardous materials
  • Asbestos-containing materials
  • Tyres and batteries
  • Medicines and pharmaceuticals
  • Explosives and fireworks

Any attempt to dispose of prohibited items will result in immediate termination of the contract and potential legal action.

6. Liability

The Company is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of the skip, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.

Insurance:

  • The Customer is responsible for insuring their property against potential damage during skip placement.
  • The Company carries liability insurance for accidental damages caused during delivery and collection.

7. Cancellation and Refunds

Customers may cancel their booking subject to the following conditions:

  • Cancellation made at least 24 hours before the scheduled delivery will incur no penalty.
  • Late cancellations may be subject to a cancellation fee equivalent to 50% of the booking cost.
  • No refunds will be provided for cancellations made less than 24 hours before delivery.

7.1 Rescheduling

Customers may request to reschedule their booking. The Company will make reasonable efforts to accommodate such requests based on availability.

8. Governing Law

This contract shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising out of or in connection with this contract shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

9. Amendments

The Company reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Customers will be notified of significant changes, and continued use of the services constitutes acceptance of the new terms.

10. Severability

If any provision of these terms and conditions is found to be unenforceable or invalid under any applicable law, such invalidity will not render the entire contract unenforceable. The remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.

11. Entire Agreement

These terms and conditions constitute the entire agreement between the Customer and the Company regarding skip hire services and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.

12. Privacy Policy

The Company is committed to protecting the privacy of its customers. Any personal information collected during the booking process will be used solely for the purpose of providing services and will not be shared with third parties without consent.

13. Force Majeure

The Company shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations due to causes beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, war, or pandemics.
